
Completion of the A87
On 3 July, the bypass roundthe south of La Roche-sur-Yon was inaugurated byHenri Stouff, Chairman ofASF, and Pierre Anjolras, CEOof ASF (VINCI Concessions), inthe presence of DominiqueBussereau, French Ministerresponsible for Transport,and Philippe de Villiers,President of the GeneralCouncil of the Vendéedépartement.Handed over six monthsahead of schedule, this16 km section completesthe 128.5 km motorway linkbetween Angers and LaRoche-sur-Yon. It involvedtwo and a half years ofworks and an investmentof €120 million, entirelyfunded by ASF, which holdsthe concession for thisinfrastructure. This has alsobeen the biggest projectinvolving hot Aspha-min®mix (55,000 t) everundertaken by Eurovia.With the completion of thissection, Les Sables-d’Olonneand the Vendée beaches onthe west coast of France arejust four hours drive fromParis. In total, the creationof the A87 Angers – LaRoche-sur-Yon motorwayhas taken 10 years of works.
