Automation of hydroelectric power stations
Omexom Generation & Distribution Belo Horizonte (VINCI Energies International & Systems) has won a contract with Enel Green Power for the automation of 14 hydroelectric power stations.
It covers supplying equipment and the provision of services for the automation of the stations, which contain 44 electricity generators.
The monitoring and control systems of these units will be modernised in order to reduce the number of manual operations at the production sites and improve their efficiency. Ultimately, these power stations will be controlled from Enel’s national operations centre in Rio de Janeiro.
In addition, Actemium Manufacturing Belo Horizonte (VINCI Energies International & Systems) will be building 50 medium-voltage control cabinets.
The project started in October. Scheduled duration: 18 months.
