The A9/A61 fork at Narbonne
Works aimed at improving safety and traffic flow at the extremely busy fork of the A9 and A61 motorways, managed by VINCI Autoroutes, were launched on 19 September 2016.
They mainly involve widening the busiest ramps (from one to two lanes), creating a Narbonne South exit ramp (to avoid flows of vehicles coming from Perpignan becoming mixed up with those arriving from Toulouse) and, finally, preserving the environment by creating new water protection basins. Entry into service is scheduled for early 2019.
Value of the works: €26m.
