- 74,000 m2 surface area and nearly 4,000 employees
- A showcase for VINCI’s expertise

VINCI will build its new head office in Nanterre (Hauts de Seine) in the centre of the Groues. It will form a new link between the City of Nanterre and the La Défense business district. In the 2020 timeframe, the 74,000 m2 complex will bring together at the same site some 4,000 employees of Group’s head office and its concession (VINCI Autoroutes, VINCI Airports) and contracting business lines (VINCI Energies, Eurovia and (VINCI Construction).

The Groues architectural project was selected following a competition with a Jury to which Xavier Huillard, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of VINCI, Patrick Jarry, Chairman of the Board of the Etablissement Public d'Aménagement de la Défense Seine Arche public development authority (Epadesa) and Mayor of Nanterre, and Hugues Parant, CEO of Epadesa, have taken part.

The new head office, which will showcase VINCI’s expertise, was designed by Jean-Paul Viguier et Asssociés, in association with architect Marc Mimram, to become a long-term integral part of its immediate urban environment. The complex will demonstrate the technical solutions developed by VINCI and its subsidiaries. It will be part of an ambitious environmental programme and will accommodate changing uses of the buildings and mobility of those working in them. The new head office will be made up of several buildings connected between them, forming an archipelago-like complex. Building interiors will offer employees modern, comfortable spaces that will foster collaborative work.

The project also provides for a combination of office space, along with a broad range of shops, services and public facilities. The goal is for this mixed-use development to enable Nanterre’s 11th district to set an example in terms of quality of life and outreach to other areas. A large number of connections, including the RER A and ultimately the future Nanterre-la Folie railway station (RER E and Line 15 of the Grand Paris Express), above which part of the future head office will be built, will ensure that the site is remarkably well served by public transport.

By establishing the foundations of a future neighbourhood, the VINCI head office will lend new impetus to the urban renewal of Nanterre. The new property complex, designed as a space open to and connected with the city surrounding it, is already covered by consultations with local stakeholders. The mixed-use private and public space is fully attuned to VINCI’s approach based on outreach and dialogue. It is emblematic of the Group’s own development momentum and its role as a private sector company serving the public interest.

The launch of this ambitious and structuring project is the result of several months of cooperative preparatory work carried out by the VINCI, Epadesa and SNCF Réseau teams.
