E20 Stadium LLP1 has awarded the service concession contract for the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Stadium in London to VINCI Stadium, a subsidiary of VINCI Concessions.

The stadium, located in east London, was designed as part of the 2012 Summer Olympics and Paralympics in London and was used for the opening and closing ceremonies and for the athletics events. It is currently undergoing transformation and will be temporarily opened to welcome the Rugby World Cup in 2015 and then permanently re-opened in 2016 as the home of its future resident club, West Ham United FC, and a venue for the annual IAAF Diamond League and UK Athletics (UKA) athletics championships held every summer. In addition, the stadium will host the World Championships in Athletics and the IPC Athletics World Championships in 2017.

The 25-year contract covers operation, upkeep and maintenance of the stadium and coordination of part of the park around the stadium during the various events.

VINCI Stadium will notably be in charge of managing the stadium during events, ensuring its commercial development through additional programming and generation of additional revenue (corporate events, partnerships, catering) and overseeing the public gathering place throughout the year to support the economic and social development of east London.

VINCI Stadium will build on the expertise of VINCI Facilities UK to handle stadium upkeep and maintenance and on the expertise of Delaware North to handle catering.

VINCI Stadium is the leading European operator of major sports and concert arenas. In addition to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, its network includes the Stade de France in Paris, the Allianz Riviera in Nice, the New Bordeaux Stadium and the MMArena in Le Mans. Facilities managed by VINCI Stadium have the benefit of its expertise in the integration of brands in the development of new spectator services.

1 E20 Stadium LLP is made up of the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) and the London Borough of Newham (LBN).
