VINCI Construction France recognised in the 7th annual Geste d’Or competition

On the occasion of the 2017 International Cultural Heritage Show, VINCI Construction France received six prizes at the 7th annual Geste d’Or awards ceremony held on 4 November. The awards recognise exemplary projects focused on the heritage of the past, the present and the future.

The Geste d’Or competition annually recognises companies and projects that set an example in sustainability, people management and balanced financial engineering.

The winning projects included:
- The Samaritaine rehabilitation project, carried out by Petit, which won the Geste d’Or Grand Prix Santé award. This prize, awarded for the first time, recognises employee health and safety management on the worksite.
- The Marengo rehabilitation project (Paris 1), involving a nearly 6,500 sq. metre office building, carried out by Dumez Île-de-France, which won the Geste d’Argent Grand Prix Amont award.
- The office building restructuring project at 55 rue d’Amsterdam (Paris 8), also carried out by Dumez Île-de-France, won the Geste d’Argent Grand Prix Métiers award.

GTM Bâtiment also won an award for the Résidence Lorraine refurbishment project (Paris 19) and the Daviel activity centre and Théâtre 13 theatre renovation project (Paris 13).

Girard, a VINCI Construction France subsidiary specialising in rehabilitation, stone cutting, masonry and heritage and historic landmark restoration also received the Geste d’Or Grand Prix Entreprises award.
