Upgrading control of access to the pits of the CERN, near Geneva

Mobility ITS (VINCI Energies International & Systems) and Actemium Pays de Gex (VINCI Energies France) have won the contract to modernise and revamp access to the pits of CERN, the European nuclear research organisation located on either side of the Franco-Swiss border, near Geneva.

It involves renovating the access control system and associated security automation, which manage access in accordance with the levels of clearance of members of staff and ensure no one is present in the tunnel while the particle accelerators are in operation.

The project will be completed in October 2020.
