Underground drilling in the Chuquicamata mine

Soletanche Bachy Chile (Soletanche Freyssinet/VINCI Construction) won a major contract in April for exploratory and hydraulic fracturing drillings, on behalf of Codelco, in the Chuquicamata mine, located in the Atacama Desert in the north of the country.

It includes 28,000 metres of core drillings, 1,500 hydraulic fracturing drillings and the installation of geotechnical instrumentation.

The contract is scheduled to finish in 2020.
