1 July 2017 - New contracts - Algeria

The exploration and production branch of oil company Sonatrach has selected Entrepose Algeria (VINCI Construction) to equip the production centre of the Mesdar oil field (in the east of the country) with a new fire protection system.

This project concerns the design & planning, supply and construction of a water-foam extinguishing network and a pumping station.

Launched in late March 2017 and due to last 22 months, the works, involving the deployment of some 80 people, will not disrupt the operation of the centre. Entrepose Algeria had already undertaken two projects of the same type at the main Sonatrach base camps in Hassi Messaoud.

In addition, in May 2017, Entrepose Algeria signed an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contract with Sonatrach subsidiary Naftal for the creation of infrastructure at the El Eulma fuel storage facility, about 100 kilometres to the west of Constantine.

The teams will supply the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of three diesel storage tanks (capacity: 20,000 cu. metres each), as well as a cistern to hold fire-fighting water (3,000 cu. metres) and the associated pipe network. The metal sheet used for the construction of the tanks will be prefabricated by Entrepose Industries.
The project will take 18 months, with the site continuing to function, and will employ 124 people at the peak of the works.
