Three school contracts in Guadeloupe
30 January 2017 - Projects update and handover - France
Dodin Guadeloupe and GTM Guadeloupe, subsidiaries of VINCI Construction Dom-Tom, have just won three contracts for the construction of schools in the centre of Guadeloupe.
GTM Guadeloupe has been appointed leader of a joint venture charged with building the Le Raizet School (25 classes), in Les Abymes. The company has been awarded, as a firm order, the structural works and wood frame works packages. The works, extending over 18 months, should start in the 1st quarter of 2017.
In addition, Dodin Guadeloupe has secured the building envelope works packages for the Félix Edinval School in Pointe-à-Pitre and the Calvaire School in Baie Mahault. The new Calvaire establishment, with a capacity of 16 classes, will replace the former school, demolished because it didn’t meet anti-earthquake standards. The new Félix Edinval School, meanwhile, will accommodate 17 classes and a multimedia centre for young children. The two projects will, respectively, take 20 and 18 months to complete.
