Start-up of a wastewater pre-treatment plant

In July, Sogea-Satom (VINCI Construction International Network) handed over, on behalf of the National Water and Sewerage Corporation, the Kinawataka wastewater pre-treatment plant, located on the banks of Lake Victoria by Kampala.

A design-build project, this facility can now process 4,500 m3 a day of wastewater produced by 100,000 inhabitants while, at the same time, improving the water quality of the lake – the planet’s second-largest reserve of fresh water. Sogea-Satom is also in charge of training the staff who will be working at the plant.
