VINCI Airports has signed a 25-year concession contract with the Serbian government for Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, in the Republic of Serbia.

This concession, the first in southeast Europe, marks a new stage in the development of VINCI Airports outside France. It covers the financing, operation, maintenance, enlargement and renovation of the terminal and of the system of runways.

This airport, which handled almost 5.3 million passengers in 2017, is the country’s main airport platform. Over 50% of its passenger traffic is carried by national company Air Serbia, for which it is the hub. VINCI Airports is scheduled to take over its operation by the end of 2018, following the lifting of the conditions precedent laid down in the contract.
