Redevelopment of apron D at Cologne Bonn Airport

In order to increase the number of parking places and optimise the movement of aircraft on the ground, Cologne Bonn Airport is redeveloping its apron D.

The parking places are being reorganised and new guidance markings provided, parallel to the existing taxiway. Actemium Köln (VINCI Energies Europe East) has been charged with the installation of the lighting for the guidance markings and will integrate the hardware and software of the new lighting system with the existing control systems, the visual display in the control tower and the control room. In order to have the necessary cable supports and empty conduits, Eurovia Köln, under a separate contract, will tear up and then restore the operational area. The works began in September 2019 and will be completed in December 2020. A fi rst part of these works was already carried out by Actemium Köln between May 2017 and April 2019.
