Ohio River Bridges – East End Crossing earns award for its sustainable management

Envision™ Platinum certification was awarded in November 2016 to the Ohio River Bridges – East End Crossing project for its sustainable management and rewarded the efforts and dedication of the teams involved.

A major accolade in the area of sustainable development and never previously achieved by a French company, Envision™ certification is awarded by the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI) – of Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design – and is based on the self-assessment tool Envision™.

All involved on the project got together and contacted the institute in June 2016 with the aim of evaluating the project’s “sustainable development” performance.

Reminder: this PPP project is being implemented by the concession-holding company, composed of VINCI Highways (VINCI Concessions), Walsh Investors and Bilfinger; the works were supplied on a design-build basis by VINCI Construction Grands Projets, VINCI Construction Terrassement and Walsh Construction.
