Modernising a wastewater treatment plant
12 April 2019 - Projects update and handover - New-Zealand
HEB Construction (VINCI Construction International Network) is currently modernising the wastewater treatment plant in Pukekohe, in the north of New Zealand, in a joint venture with McConnell Dowell.
Recent upgrades to the transportation network have reduced overflows during rainy weather. The planned measures will ultimately significantly improve the quality of the water being discharged from the system, including that released into the Waikato River, the longest in the country.
The modernisation of the treatment of wastewater, which will be more reliable and of high quality, will also enablethe town and its surrounding areas to continue their growth.
The works, begun in late 2018, will be completed in 2022.
