Kansai Airports working to eliminate plastic on site

In line with the comprehensive environmental strategy AirPact pursued by VINCI Airports (VINCI Concessions), Kansai Airports has recently put in place a new initiative to reduce the use of plastic and raise awareness among passengers about its impact on the environment.
Bags made from FSC-certified recycled paper or biodegradable substances replace the use of plastic bags and are available free of charge in airport stores. The strategy also brings to life the suggestions submitted to the “Ideas versus plastic” challenge run by VINCI Concessions early this year in order to encourage innovation on the ground, in particular to protect the environment.
