Join-up for the road bridge over the Wouri

In Douala, on 12 January 2017, just two months after completion of the railway bridge, teams from the joint venture formed by Sogea-Satom, Soletanche Bachy, Dodin Campenon Bernard and Sogea TPI (all VINCI Construction) concreted the final voussoir of the road bridge over the Wouri into place.

Installing the 368 voussoirs forming the deck of the bridge took 14 months. Still to be done between now and the end of the works, scheduled for late May 2017: creation of the access roads to the bridges, prestressing works, installation of the equipment and the dismantling of the elevated materials delivery platform.
