Inauguration of biggest road project in history of Georgia

On 12 September 2018, the Department of Transportation of the state of Georgia inaugurated the new reversible express lanes in the metropolitan area of Atlanta, in the southeast of the USA.

After four years of works, the joint venture composed of Hubbard Construction (Eurovia) and Archer Western Contractors (Walsh Group) has completed the works of the design-build Northwest Corridor project in Atlanta.

It involved adding two extra traffic lanes along the I-75 and I-575 highways over a total distance of 48 km, including 39 bridges. The state of Georgia will be responsible for operating them and collecting the tolls.
