Electrix, J&P Richardson and HEB Construction are some of the recent acquisitions that have given VINCI Energies and VINCI Construction an opportunity to establish a position or extend their networks in New Zealand and Australia. At a time when both countries are investing heavily in infrastructure, VINCI Group entities operating in Oceania are building synergies.

For example, in 2014 the newly integrated Electrix teams built on support from Omexom* to win the urban lighting contract covering the northern and western parts of Auckland. The contract includes a smart lighting component, an activity in which the Omexom brand has a significant track record. Meanwhile, HEB Construction, integrated in 2015, recently set up a major projects division to bid on infrastructure programmes initiated by the Australian government.

The outlook in the region fosters exchanges not only with other VINCI Construction International Network entities but also with Soletanche Freyssinet companies operating there.

More broadly, these recent acquisitions reflect the Group’s priority goal of expanding its presence outside France, and more particularly outside Europe, in order to gain a sound footing in new regions that hold out promising growth prospects.

The Group has also made a number of recent investments in Southeast Asia, Canada, the United States, Colombia and Peru.

VINCI has set itself the goal of increasing the proportion of its revenue generated outside France to more than 50% and doubling the share of its revenue generated outside Europe within a five to 10 year timeframe.
