In Seville, on the construction project for the future largest shopping and leisure complex in Andalusia, Menard Spain (VINCI Construction) has been carrying out soil improvement works since the last quarter of 2017 in preparation for the installation of the foundation slab.

Following a preliminary technical and cost study undertaken by Menard, the stone columns initially envisaged for this purpose were replaced by bi-modulus columns.

More than 15,000 inclusions will thus be deployed on a surface area of about 90,000 sq. metres. Several drilling teams, working on a two-shift basis, are to complete these works in a record time of four months so that the subsequent construction phases can get under way.

The complex is scheduled to open in April 2019.
