Enhanced traffic information thanks to exchanging data with Waze

VINCI Autoroutes has joined the Connected Citizens programme, which is based on the exchanging of information on traffic conditions, anonymous, free and real time, between Waze – the traffic and community navigation app – and its partners.

Within the framework of this programme, VINCI Autoroutes sends Waze information produced by its management systems (about accidents, road blocks, closures, obstructions...) as well as data concerning planned interventions, such as road works.
Such events are then shown on the Waze maps, marked “notified by VINCI Autoroutes”.

At the same time, incidents reported by Waze users are notified to VINCI Autoroutes, thus providing an additional source of real time information on road conditions.

By exchanging their data in this way, VINCI Autoroutes and Waze are stepping up their partnership in order to improve the real time traffic information provided to users.
