Energy transition: a fleet of ferries to go hybrid and electric

Sodexo Sports & Loisirs has teamed up with Barillec Marine, a subsidiary of VINCI Energies France, to step up the energy transition of its fleet of Batobus ferries.

Barillec Marine develops electric and hybrid propulsion technology for maritime and river transport. The challenge is adapting the technology to meet the needs of the Batobus ferries, which carry out multiple journeys over extended periods of time. The technology could then be rolled out to other companies offering similar services, such as Bateaux Parisiens and Yachts de Paris.
