Development project for the port of Brest

In Brest (Brittany), the joint venture notably comprising VINCI Construction Maritime et Fluvial (leader), VINCI Construction Terrassement, Menard and GTM Ouest (all VINCI Construction subsidiaries) is currently constructing a polder, in part won from the sea, that will be used for renewable marine energies.

A major aim of this major port development programme, extending over a number of years (2016-2020), is to create new industrial spaces on the vast reserves of land available to the east of the commercial port. At the same time the interface between town and port area will be improved with the creation of new, landscaped public spaces. A new port terminal (40 hectares) specially designed to handle heavy loads is also planned.
