Construction of the Nouaux basin in Villenave-d’Ornon

In the west of France, the Bordeaux Métropole water authority has appointed Sogea Sud-Ouest Hydraulique (VINCI Construction France), leader, Soletanche Bachy France (Soletanche Freyssinet/VINCI Construction) and Santerne Aquitaine (VINCI Energies France) to create a 5,500 m3 underground stormwater retention basin.

Sogea Sud-Ouest Hydraulique will be responsible for the civil engineering and equipment, and Soletanche Bachy for the injection works, the creation of 2,500 m2 of diaphragm wall at a depth of 35 m, using a Hydrofraise®, and the bulk earthworks for the basin. The electricity and monitoring and control works package will be supplied by Santerne.

The works start in November 2019 and will last 17 months.
