Car-pooling on the rise on the VINCI Autoroutes network

During Mobility Week (16 - 22 September 2016), VINCI Autoroutes recalled its commitment to achieving an average occupancy rate of 65% in its car-pooling car parks by the end of 2017.

The positive trend recorded in 2016 would seem to point to this target even being largely exceeded in 2017, since the occupancy rate of the network’s car-pooling car parks, which was 63% in 2015, reached 73% in 2016 (excluding car parks brought into service during the year or where works were under way). This progress was considerably greater in the car parks in the Rhône valley. And there were 10 car parks where an occupancy rate of over 80% was recorded.

As of 1 September 2016, 23 car parks were in operation, four of them opened within the previous year; three additional car parks should be brought into service by the end of this year.
