25 February 2021 - All committed! - France

In 2021, the work experience placement as part of the Give Me Five initiative will be rolled out in a new and totally transformed format in order to adapt to the ongoing pandemic. Taking place over two days instead of the previous five, educational workshops are adapted to comply with hygiene measures, participants will hear from our teams via video and remain at their schools instead of coming to our worksites and infrastructure.

In February, over 300 middle school students from priority education neighbourhoods in the regions of Amiens, Marseille and Reims benefited from this new format.
How did it go? “The greatest feedback came when I saw the big smiles of my students, despite their masks! Every single one of them told me how much they appreciated the work experience placement.” William Govaert, headteacher of Rosa Parks secondary school in Marseille.
The adventure will continue in March with the academies of Strasbourg, Toulouse, Versailles and Lyon!

These work experience placements are aimed at students in their final year of middle school to help them make career choices and are part of the orientation component of Give Me Five, VINCI’s social and professional integration programme for young people from underprivileged areas.
