Reinforcement works for Paris church

The city authorities in Paris have appointed the joint venture formed by Degaine (VINCI Construction France) and Soletanche Bachy France (Soletanche Freyssinet/VINCI Construction) to undertake reinforcement works in Saint-Germain-de-Charonne Church (20th arrondissement) and its surrounding area. Built in the 15th century, the church has been a listed building since 1923. The project involves underpinning all the walls and pillars using jet grouting techniques.
The works are due to start in May 2014.
