Metamorphosis in Nancy
March saw Hallé (VINCI Construction France) handing over the République building in Nancy (east of France), a major architectural structure that very much symbolizes the metamorphosis of the Nancy Grand Cœur neighbourhood. This five-storey building, standing on Place de la République alongside the train and tram stations, handed over in January, provides 8,400 sq. metres of flexible office space, with 1,000 sq. metres of service areas and retail space on the ground floor, which links to the public transport complex. Socogim (VINCI Construction France) and VINCI Immobilier acted as joint contracting authorities for the project.
Trinidad and Tobago
Bridge launch at interchange
On 18 February last, the Minister for Construction and Transport of Trinidad and Tobago, Colm Imbert, was present when, without disrupting traffic, a start was made on shifting the main bridge of the CRH/UBH interchange into position, which VINCI Construction Grands Projets completed almost two weeks ahead of schedule. After supplying the design work, VINCI Construction Grands Projets is now undertaking the construction of this interchange and its associated structures, which will provide an interconnection between the island’s East-West and North-South motorways. Contract value: €48m.
