Several VINCI companies took part in the project, among them VINCI Construction subsidiaries SBTPC, Sogea Réunion, Dodin Campenon Bernard, VINCI Construction Grands Projets, Botte Fondations, Freyssinet and VINCI Construction Terrassement, along with Eurovia and VINCI Energies.
They contributed to 10 or so sites, in particular the construction of two interchanges (at Saint-Paul and Plateau Cailloux), 3 bridges (the Ravine des Poux, Ravine du Cap and Ravine Grand Étang structures), and construction of the impressive Grande Ravine viaduct (see photo). The latter, spanning a chasm 300 metres wide and 170 metres deep, is technically the most sophisticated of the project’s 4 outstanding civil engineering structures.
